Writing World Literature
in the Sign Languages of the World

Did you know that thousands of signers are reading and writing Sign Languages right now?

Not everyone who uses a Sign Language realizes that their own language is being written, but it is, by a minority of signers that is growing larger every year...and those who read their Sign Language urgently need more reading materials.

The purpose of the SignWriting Literature Project is to provide:

software for producing SignWriting Literature

• employment for SignWriting authors & editors

• an online SignWriting Literature Archive

• printed books donated to Deaf Education

• Wikipedias in written Sign Languages

A list of SignWriting Literature titles for 2009 is coming soon...
